Rolls and rolls and...he rolled!!

We love chubby babies at our house. Asher's getting to that roly-poly stage and it seems like he's developing a few new rolls every day. Chunky works well for him, I think :).Look at those arm rolls! They sure are cute, but they tend to collect a lot of "gunk." Every time I wipe him down, I find more stuff hiding in his rolls. That's not so cute. He's got just as many on his legs, but you can't see them as well unless he's diaper-less. Those photos are probably not appropriate for the blog :). Carter was just as chubby at this age and held that "round" physique for at least a year. He's really started to slim down (and sprout up) in this past year...could be due to the fact that the kid never sits still??
Our chunky monkey reached a new milestone last week! He FINALLY rolled over! We haven't been as diligent about tummy time with our second son, but every time we do lay him on his stomach, he gets royally ticked off. Mommy ends up giving in and picks him up. Well, since he's turned four months, I've been a little tougher on him and he finally got mad enough last Friday and he kicked himself over. Yay Asher!!He's done this little trick a few more times since then, but he's still not happy about it.

Also, he recently had his 4-month well child check and his 4-month shots (boo). Here's how he's measuring up this month:

Weight: 16 lbs. 8 oz. (75%)
Length: 24 1/2 in. (25%)

Looking back at big brother's stats, I found that Carter weighed 17 lbs. 11 oz and was 26 inches long! Apparently this was about the age that Carter shot up in weight and height.

Another quick little update on Ash: He's currently on a bottle strike. He will only eat 3-4 oz. of milk all day at daycare. He nurses OK at home, but just refuses to take a bottle. I bought him a different kind of bottle thinking he might like that better and we even spiced up his milk with a little pear juice to bribe him, but he's having none of that. He LOVES his cereal though, so Irene's been giving him really runny cereal with lots of milk and he seems ok with that. Stubborn child! I guess he'll eat when he's hungry enough! It's a good thing he's chunky...
