Homecoming game.

Friday night was the big homecoming football game. The Bullpups played Goddard and we won 48-14! The crowning ceremony took place at halftime and while we were waiting, we ran into our friends Reese and Cru!

Here are the three preschool pals:
Once more with a little more CHEESE. Carter and Cru are buddies.Showing off the big crown he gets to carry.A quick hug for mommy...
Aunt Lou was there too to cheer him on. There they go...there were lots more people at the game than there were at the assembly, but the kids were hardly affected by the crowd. They did great!
Carter crowning Tucker as the king. Reese and Cru's aunt Casyn was the queen!
Tucker, Casyn, Carter and Addie.Suckers afterwards made getting dressed up all worth it...we had some very happy kiddos.Carter and his papa. The sucker even calmed Carter's fear of the bullpup...he got close enough for a picture! The royalty and their mommies. And then they were done...ready to go change clothes!
Carter was more excited for the game to be over so he could play football down on the field.Asher and one of our babysitters, Brooke.Carter with his football buddy, EJ (King Tucker's little brother!). These two have so.much.fun. Hard to believe there are four years difference between the two. Hanging with daddy on the field after the game.

Homecoming Assembly

Carter was asked by the MHS Stuco to be the crown bearer for Homecoming this year. He was a little confused by the task at first, but since his friend Addie was the princess, he was more than willing! They had a formal assembly on Tuesday to introduce all of the candidates. Here's Carter all dressed up and ready to go...note the shirt hanging out of his vest...such a BOY.Carter and Courtney, one of the queen candidates.Hanging out with Addie before the assembly started.
There were about 800 people in the auditorium, so we weren't sure how that would affect the kids, but they did great. Addie was such a ham and they whole place was rolling in laughter while the kids were announced. This was Addie's reaction when she saw her Grandma in the audience. She was so excited and started dancing all around Carter. The video is just priceless.
They settled down for a few photos and looked quite grown up.

3rd Annual Foxfire Water War

Several families in the 'hood gathered last month for our annual water fight. We knew from last year that we needed LOTS more ammunition so this mommy spent two afternoon's worth of "nap time" hunched over the sink filling and tying water balloons. I can officially say that I HATE the tying part. My fingers were pretty much numb after all of that tying. But the joy on our boys' faces after hurling balloon after balloon on to the ground was worth it all.

Cole and Carter were so excited to get going!Asher was mostly interested in sucking on the balloons. After a few long tosses across the street...
...the full-on attack began.
Kids were soaked, parents were soaked, cars were soaked, and roofs were soaked. Nobody and nothing was safe.
About the time that all of our balloons were gone (about 4 minutes) Sherri came across the street fully loaded. She had Chris' name on each and every one of those balloons...he may be a little ornery. But, I think he got the last word in that fight.Seth soon found the hose and attacked Chris again...he must be an easy target?!?Toddler on a mission...gun in hand. Shoes are optional for this attack.Look who else showed up for some wet and wild fun?? Our buddy Cru!Dana and Sherri pulled out a water balloon launcher, and Carter thought he needed to try it out. Streeeeeetch! He was successful!Cole and Asher manned the water jug. Here are the war participants! And all of the kiddos. I'm pretty sure the big "kids" had just as much fun as the little ones. ;)Cru and Carter after the fight.

Thanks so much neighbors for another awesome water fight. We love living around such crazy, fun people!
