We also stopped by the Deanna Rose Farmstead while we were in KC. Chris & I had visited it many years ago before we had kids, and we knew the kids would really enjoy it. What a fun, educational, inexpensive place to visit! We all had a great time!

KC Trip: Royals game
We try to make it to at least one KC Royals game each year, and this summer we headed to watch them play the White Sox. We knew we wanted to get the boys memberships to the Blue Crew--a fun package that includes t-shirts, hats, wristbands and tickets to the game--but we made the mistake of not buying them in advance. So after waiting quite awhile in line for the tickets, we headed up, WAAAY UP, to our seats. They were in row WW, and ZZ was the very top of the stadium. Fun stuff. But we were all smiles as we headed up the escalator!
It was also buck night, so hot dogs and Pepsi's served as our dinner that night. The view from up here.
It was hot, but the kids were troopers, even this sweetie.
Asher plowed over some kid who was standing right on third base. So proud.
Then we found some much better seats down lower and waited for the fireworks to start.
It was a fantastic show and we had great seats right under the scoreboard.
The beautiful fountains at the K. Even though the Royals lost, it was a fun night at an awesome stadium!
