Carter's Spring Program

A peek at Carter's spring music program. The younger group sang a few songs, but my absolute favorite was "What a Wonderful World"...so touching and made me so proud so see our boy belting it out.

After the program, the kids were jumping off the risers, so Father Hien joined in the fun and "caught" each of the kids several times. This boy needs all the holy time he can get. ;)

Carter's Kindergarten Promotion

SJS has a ceremony at the end of each year to send off the 6th grade students to the middle school and promote the Kindergarten students. The older kids literally pass the torch to the younger ones to carry on the tradition.
Receiving his certificate from Father Hien.

We all enjoyed a little cake afterwards to celebrate.
 Some toothless friends--Spencer & Carter.
Carter & his teacher, Mrs. Burghart.
And then I think Mrs. Burghart may have had a small panic attack as she caught a glimpse of her class in two years...

Keeping us smiling day after day. :)

Carter's Field Day

At the end of the year, Carter's school had a field day for the afternoon. Notes were sent home instructing the kids to wear a shirt of their team color. Carter was so excited for this day to come, and I was able to go watch the fun as well.
The blue team--I think Carter missed the memo to look tough--I love that kid and his great smile. :)
Although he was very excited for this day (competition is kinda his "thing"), he was also very nervous. He was one of the youngest on his team and he was pretty apprehensive around all those big kids...he's chomping on his fingernails.

Carter and Ava...representing Kindergarten on the blue team and celebrating with popsicles.

Asher's End of Year Pre-School Field Trip

Asher's Pre-School class took a trip at the end of the year last year to a really fun park in Lindsborg, which we call the "Castle Park." We've been so blessed thus far with the group of kids who land in the same class as our boys...we are good friends with many of their parents, and we've really enjoyed meeting the families of the students we didn't know before. It is really comforting to know that your child is attending school with a teacher who loves them, as well as great kids from great families. Below are a few snippets of our morning at the park...

This was about the time Mr. Asher learned to pump his legs on the swings to swing by himself...he was SO proud, and mom and dad were SO thankful.

Our favorite daddy even got to join us for the field trip!

I believe this was the first time Asher got to take a sack lunch anywhere. That's a pretty big deal to a pre-school boy, and he.was.PUMPED.

ANNNND, his Lunchable even had Oreos in it...really, does it get any better than that when you're four? Pure bliss.

Look at these silly twinkies...best buds and matching outfits...their moms didn't even plan it!

Ash Man with our FAVORITE pre-school teacher, Ms. Becky.
All of the morning pre-school kiddos...look at all of those BOYS. Note Mr. Angelic on the far right...I don't think he's fooling anyone.
Wild and ornery x 3...but I'm so glad to have these little crazies in our life. :)
Us mommies like to refer to this crew as the Fab 5. Causing grey hairs and driving us to the margaritas daily (both the teacher and the mommies, alike). They're blonde, they're cute, and they are crazy. Graham, Sam, Asher, Cole & Cru.
And these two definitely won the style award for the day...cowboy boots and shorts??? They rocked 'em.
