Happy Birthday Daddy!! And welcome summer-time! Another busy month at the Allen household...and we've enjoyed lots of outdoor time. We're just hoping that the storms subside for awhile. Last weekend Carter and mommy enjoyed the Smoky Hill River Festival in Salina. There are tons of craft booths and games, so Carter got to cut loose. It was very HOT, so we didn't stay too long, but still enjoyed some time with the Allen/Jilka family.
Beth, Layne and Caden came over this week for dinner and some backyard pool fun. The boys enjoyed going down the big slide and splashing together. We've decided these boys could definitely give their mommas some grey hairs in the future...they're fearless!
Our neighbor, Miss Mal turned two this month! She got a cool new swingset and Carter tries to make a mad dash toward their house every time we come home. He loves the super-fast slide...even though he ends up on his face 90% of the time he makes it down.
We've heard lots of new words and phrases this month from Carter including: "See ya," "Love you more," "Where's daddy," and the all-time favorite (heard about 65 times each day), "I want some more."
Carter also started Kindermusik this week. We go for 30 minutes every Thursday morning. He loves the singing and dancing...not so much the sitting still on mommy's lap. We'll be working on that. Stay cool and happy weekend to everyone!
