Bowling fun!

One of Carter's birthday gifts was a fun night of bowling from Aunt Lou and Unc, so after church and dinner one Saturday evening, we all went bowling! Carter has LOVED bowling since he was about two years old, so he was in hog heaven, and little brother is learning to love it as well.
We tried all different methods of getting the ball down the lane...

 Woo hoo, Aunt Lou!
 High fives from Crappaw!

This boy got super excited when he knocked some pins down.

Waiting for the ball to roll ALL the way down the lane was down right painful sometimes...

We even ran into Carter's friend Joe from school!

Catching up with old friends

Some of my high school friends and their families were in town over Thanksgiving weekend, so we made plans for lunch at the park. Mother Nature didn't get the memo, because it was a COLD day for a picnic, but we toughed it out.

The kids were all bundled up, and couldn't care less about the weather. They were thrilled to be at the park!

The whole group l-r: Hayden, Reed, Carter, Asher, Ethan, Alex, Elly, Mayson & Adyson. This may be our best group photo of these kids ever. No meltdowns!
And the mommies...forever friends! Noelle, me, Tiffany & Jenny.

Grandma's 80th Birthday

My Grandma celebrated her 80th birthday on Nov. 23. 80 birthdays is definitely reason to celebrate! We all (4 kids, 15 grandkids, 14 great-grandkids + all the spouses...quite the group!!) gathered at my aunt & uncles house near Andale. They live in the country and have lots of fun things to do...I'm pretty sure my boys wanted to move in with them. Especially after they saw the newest "toy"...a ZIPLINE! So much fun! And once again, Asher was ready to ride, just like the big kids.
Loading up...
Wheeeeee!

Carter's turn!

There was more low-key fun inside. We met my cousin's new little guy, Laken, for the first time. Hayden was born about a month before him. Laken was the first grandson for my aunt and uncle after EIGHT granddaughters! The babies were thrilled to see each other ;).

All 14 great-grandkids, plus the two youngest grandkids with Grandma.
Carter, Hayden & Asher with their Great-Grandma.
My sister & I with Grandma.
All the fun wore these two out!
Happy birthday, Grandma! We love you!

Thanksgiving Pool Fun

We spent most of Thanksgiving weekend at Grandma & Papa's in Salina. They had rented a room at the Ramada, which included access to the pool for two days. Swimming in November?? Pure joy for the seven grandkids big enough to swim. That littlest one was full of joy, too, she just didn't get in the water.

Snuggles with Talyn.
We had to share the pool with other people for about 20 minutes total the entire time we swam over two days. There's a big, fun water slide at this hotel and the kids spent 95% of their time climbing up & sliding down that slide. There was a big RULES sign right next to the stairs of the slide...I'm pretty sure that our group broke every single one of those rules over the course of the weekend, but no harm, no foul, right?!?

Asher was the littlest kid, but his little legs were hustling to keep up with his big brother and cousins. Most of the time, he insisted on riding by himself...the kid has no fear.
