Soooo, apparently I'm a tad bit behind on blogging. I have lots of really valid excuses (including laziness), but I'll spare you. Luckily, I have still been taking plenty of pictures of our three awesome kiddos. The little one is the one that's changed the most over these last several months, so this post is a photo overload of Miss Hayden, and all some of what she's been up to. It's a 5-month fast forward snapshot of our baby growing up...
Trying out rice cereal for the first time around 4 1/2 months. She was pretty much indifferent about it. She'd tolerate a little of it, but then she was done. We later tried oatmeal and she seemed to like that a little better.
Moving on to some peas around five months...YUCK! I'm with ya, sister!
Notice the spiky hair around this age...cracked me up every day and complimented her spunky personality so well.
Loving her toes and bending/stretching in ways that baffle me...and look at all that chub!
Ready for some Bullpup basketball!
She basically spent all winter barefoot because 1) she LOVED to pull off her socks within seconds of us putting them on her and 2) we darn near ran out of socks because we lost them all (see #1).
First bath with her big brothers.
Learning to sit up all by herself just shy of six months.
Her first time in the snow...she couldn't care less.
She was digging some squash/sweet potatoes (something orange!) around seven months--don't mind that photo bomber in the background...he wormed his way into every.single.picture I took that night.
Good thing he's cute.
Sitting up like a big girl and licking door jams like a special girl.
Holding her own bottle...it's the little things that help a mommy out soooo much sometimes (although I still enjoy the still, snuggle time of feeding her every now and then).
I cannot handle the cuteness of dressing a baby girl!
She tried for a good month to get the crawling thing down pat. She'd rock forward over and over again, but then chickened out and sit back on her butt. If we laid her on her belly, she's just whine and fall flat on her belly. Oh well, we were cherishing the days of a non-mobile baby. It's amazing how things change from baby #1 to baby #3. Mobile baby means ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS having to be on your A-game, rarely being able to take your eye off her and having to keep a fairly clean floor. Ugh.
And now we're not only crawling (just before nine months), we're also pulling up on EVERYTHING and even taking some steps around things.
OK, that brings you up to about nine months with our favorite girl. Many more posts to come...
