Bad mommy! How can three months have past since our last update? Sorry for slacking, but in our defense, a LOT has happened!
We'll start with the illnesses. Aside from at least 10 colds that Carter has caught this winter, he's also dealt with RSV and the stomach flu as well. This resulted in a cranky baby, many days home from daycare and lots of quality time with mommy, daddy and both grandmas. Thank goodness for helpful grandparents!! Needless to say, we're all ready for winter to be OVER!!
Christmas was great and very busy. Of course, Carter got spoiled rotten by all. We enjoyed meeting up with new baby friends Reed & Adyson at Noelle's baby shower right after Christmas. Carter gave them lots of hugs and kisses (whether they liked it or not). Carter went for his 15-month doctor visit the end of January and he's holding steady at 28 lbs., 6 oz.--he even lost one pound since last time we weighed! He's gotten several new teeth in the last three months...not an enjoyable process. He rarely lets me in his mouth to feel, but I think he has a total of 12 teeth now.
Funny story...sometime after Christmas I was getting Carter ready for a bath. I turned the water on and Carter always comes running. As the tub was filling, I told Carter to go to his room so we could get him undressed. I left the bathroom, he did not. When I realized he wasn't behind me, I went back to the bathroom and I see him leaning WAAAY over into the bathtub reaching for toys. Before I could get to him, he had flipped head over heels into the tub--FULLY CLOTHED! There was only about an inch of water in tub, but he was still soaked and totally shocked, flat on his back! Mommy rescued him and got him undressed, but he was unusually subdued during his bath that night and he hasn't tried it again since!
We took two big family trips in the last two months, so pictures and stories will follow in the next couple days!
