All School's Day: Parade

The 99th annual All Schools Day parade was much anticipated by our little guys (and us for that matter), and the day could not have been more beautiful! This was our first year with a float-rider in the parade, as the Pre-K class rides with the Kindergarten class at Carter's school. So exciting to see all of our hard work and the joy in the kids' eyes as they ride down Main Street in front of 10,000 people.

Lots of parents spent many hours of hard work bringing this awesome float to life. The theme for the parade was "Hearts filled with peace," and our group decided to play off a bible verse which reads "His peace will guard your heart." Here are a just a few of the dads who helped, on the morning of the parade after they moved the float to Main St.
Our two cool dudes right when we found our seats.
The Coopers arrived shortly after us, so we had a few pics with them as well.

As we headed up the street to drop the kids off at their float, we ran into Fire Pup!
Carter, Reese, Mallorie and Ian in front of their float.
 Best buddies--Carter & Ian.

The mommies (& Karlie): Melisa, Jami & I.
Back down at our seats, the little guys were more than ready for the action to start!

Our buddy Carter Thul waving from the McPherson Royalty float.
Finally, the sight we were all waiting for...the St. Joseph School float!
 Love this boy!
Carter is on the front row, 5th from the left. He was waving so big to everyone!

Some other floats and sights from the parade...

Our float riders were parched and hungry when we picked them up at the end of the parade route!
Luckily, there was still LOTS of parade left to see!
Great friends! Reese, Carter & Mal.

To top off our beautiful, fun-filled day, we found out that afternoon that our float won the Grand Prize for the parade! Yay!!
