Muffins with Mom

Towards the end of the school year, all of us mommies were invited to Carter's school for "Muffins with Mom. I would love to be able to share photos of "Donuts with Dad," which was held in April, as well, but a certain daddy refused to take the camera ;).

When I arrived, Carter greeted me with a beautiful flower. Then he showed me around his classroom and Miss Becky read us all a sweet, very sad book, Let Me Hold You Longer. Miss Becky is in big trouble for making this momma cry...luckily I sat in the back by the kleenex box ;).

Then we moved in to the gym for our muffins and entertainment.
Only boys would use the pretty flowers as weapons.
Mr. Carter chose a big CHOCOLATE muffin!
Carter and mommy (please excuse the puffy face and red nose I'm sporting).
Then the kids lined up for some awesome entertainment. They sang "You Are My Sunshine" to us and held up signs that spelled "Happy Mother's Day!"

Can't you just hear him belting it out?

They also made us keychains with their picture on it. So special! I am so proud to be this kid's mommy!
Finally, Miss Becky read off questionnaires that the kids filled out about their mommy. Here are Carter's answers:
I was pretty bummed about him thinking I was 40...until I heard Mallorie's answer about her mom's age--she thinks her mom is 95!! :)
