Carter's CARS Birthday Party

Carter chose a Disney CARS theme for his party this year. He's loved that movie since he was a toddler (we've already been through two copies!), and he's seen CARS 2 about six times already. Grandma whipped up an awesome cake for the birthday boy, once again. My sister, Chris & I made nine different CARS characters out of cardboard boxes and painted them for the kids to race in.

The kids all got their personalized Radiator Springs drivers licenses when they arrived. The first game we played was Red Light, Green Light. The kids all lined up against the fence and I specifically mentioned that they should not run, just walk FAST.How long do you think that lasted???

Next it was time for the Piston Cup race. The kids took turns picking out a car to race and we had a little track set up to run around.

Reanna gearing up as Lightning McQueen. Lynzee chose Doc Hudson.

Lynzee, Reanna & Mal ready to race. The birthday boy was driving the Chick Hicks car.

Asher A.K.A Sarge. How very appropriate.Start your engines!!

The next game was the Pit Stop race. The kids took turns racing up to change the tires (velcroed paper plates) on the cars. Reese & Cora were the first pit crew.

Caden working hard on Flo.

After they were sweaty and red in the face from all those games, it was time for cake!

He needed a BIG OLE' breath to blow out that candle!Cru & Brauer playing with the cars.Big boy Tyler checking out the scene. Mayson wanted to race, too!

Ethan digging into some cake!Miss Addie enjoying some snacks!Mal swinging away. Adyson trying out Chick Hicks.

All of the grandkids on Chris' side. Note the placement of Asher's fingers. He's so refined.A little better...Then it was time to break in that new basketball goal out front!

Daddy was having his own race in the back! Papa-razzi was on hand for lots of pictures!

Football fun with Brauer!
