Hubert Winter Gathering

Due to multiple families with crazy schedules, my mom's side of the family decided to have a "Winter Gathering" in January, rather than a Christmas get-together. We hosted again, along with my parents this year. There were a few that couldn't make it due to college and illness, but the other 20 of us had an awesome weekend together!

Deb and Naia making a business call. Grandma and Carter.
Grandpa being goofy.
My mom and grandma.
My cousin Nate brought their Kinect game for XBox. This is very similar to the Wii, but you don't use controllers and it's all digital. This provided fun for all ages and lots of laughs for the spectators.
Carter doing some track events...
Grandma testing out her bowling skills...
Uncle Rick doing something that looks like karate...Tyler had to test out the helmet as well.Uncle Rod fitting Asher for a different type of headgear.Same boy, different hat.
Saturday afternoon, some friends invited us out to their house to let the kids ride their horses. Carter was a little hesitant at first, but once he got on, he was loving it.
Aunt Lou and Asher took a turn as well!
It was a gorgeous, mild afternoon, but the cold front hit right as we got to their house, so we didn't get to spend too much time outside. We headed back to our house to warm up with some chicken and noodles and chili.
Later that evening, we all did some friendly gambling at the horse race table! This is a simple dice game that even the kids could get in on. Carter was our expert dice roller.
Me and my buddy.
Grandma got excited about winning some dollars!
Two tuckered out little boys.
Lindsay and Deb practicing some yoga "movements." Don't ask... :)
Night, night, Tyler. Sunday morning, my aunt and uncle invited us to come swim at the hotel they were staying in. We don't get many opportunities to swim in the middle of winter, so our boys were jumping at the chance.
Back to our house for some breakfast...and Carter conned a few family members into a friendly game of UNO MOO.
Uncle Rick and Carter watching Toy Story 3.
Naia and Asher building a tower. Before everyone left, we had to get a few group pictures. Here's Grandma and Grandpa with Asher, Carter and Tyler. A failed attempt at one with the boys and Naia. Niki, Naia, Mary, Rick, Ashley and Nate. We were sorry to miss Joel and the boys...hope you're all feeling better! Rod, Johnnie Girl, Deb and Collin. We missed you too, Jake!
Thanks Hubert family for a great weekend!
