This used to be a football koozie. Then Asher found it. You'd think we had a dog in the house--nope, just an Asher! He's cutting some molars and eye teeth, so he's chewing on/destroying anything soft.

A Tribute to Captain D.
Ole' Captain Destruction is in rare form lately. That boy is IN TO EVERYTHING. We thought Carter was "busy"--he was a cake walk! Asher is our cabinet clearing, toilet fishing, table climbing, trash emptying, food throwing, remote toting, laundry stealing, floor vent removing, toothbrush stealing little terror. He's super cute on the outside, but crazy ornery on the inside.

We don't dare try to fold laundry with Captain D around. He considers neatly folded clothes a fresh target to destroy. I'm not kidding. The second he eyes anything that we've folded, he makes a bee-line for the pile and tears it apart or tries to wear it.
Same with dirty laundry. Here I caught him stealing big brother's underwear. He's sooo proud.
He's a climber, too. His first encounter with his new cousin, baby Tyler--Asher was more interested in hopping in Tyler's carseat.
Most kids stand up beside the activity table--not Asher! He sits on top!
Last weekend, Chris walked in the bathroom to find Asher sitting in the bathroom sink. Yep, that's right. IN the sink. He used Carter's step stool for a boost, hoisted his arms over the bowl of the sink, and wiggled his chubby little feet up to the knobs on the cabinet for the last little push and voila--he'd made his way to the toothbrush holder! Success!
He's also constantly getting into trash cans. Any trash can will do, and he'll reach down as far as he needs to in order to yank something nasty out. Dirty diapers, used Q-tips, yogurt cups, banana peels, etc. A lot of times we'll just set our kitchen trash can on the counter or table to keep him out of it. Then he combines two of his talents...climbing and trash can diving --for all to see. Yep, that's him on TOP of the kitchen table, searching for treasures.
The world is his to explore, and he's taking full advantage. Good thing he's so darn cute...that big grin may/may not get him out of a few time-outs. Rock on little dude, rock on. Our family wouldn't be the same without you. (And daddy wouldn't have near as many grey hairs!)
