Carter and Mal loaded up, ready to roll!
Showing off their backpacks!
Tracing his name with Ms. Danielle.
Day 2: Still smiling and thrilled to be back at school.
Carter and his teacher, Ms. Becky.
Mal, Carter and Addie.
Every morning Carter asks if he gets to go to school today. If I say no, he wants to know how many more days until school. When I pick him up, I always ask what he did at school today and he offers VERY few details, sometimes even saying "I can't tell you." Thank goodness the teachers send home a newsletter each week detailing the songs they sing, the books they read, the letters they're working on, etc.
Hanging up his backpack under his nametag.
Taking his first piece of "homework" to the teachers. It was an information sheet that reads:
My name is "Carter Allen."
I am "3" years old.
My favorite foods are "pink ice cream and carrots."
I like to "play sports and ride my scooter and bike."
My favorite color is "pink." --Yep, pink. He consistently chooses that color for crayons, stickers, ice cream, etc. Oh well, what can you do?
And let's not forget about the best part of the school day??? Snack time! Each kid takes turns bringing a a healthy snack in the snack bucket. They also get to choose between white milk and chocolate milk every day...big surprise what our child picks!?! No wonder he's so excited to go every day...
