As I mentioned a few weeks ago, we have a brand new nephew! We haven't shown him off nearly enough around here, so I thought he deserved his very own post.
Tyler was born July 23 and I got to witness his birth...it was nothing short of amazing. What an honor to watch your nephew be born into the world--thank you so much Jay and Linz for the incredible opportunity.
Cute new baby, and pretty cute doctor as well! ;)
Look at those lips...I see some very effective pouting in his future.
Proud new parents.
And a beaming Aunt Mindy.
What started off as a joyful event turned scary pretty quick. Little Tyler was having some trouble eating and breathing at the same time and the Manhattan hospital didn't feel like they could treat his medical issues, so he took his very first airplane ride to Children's Mercy Hospital in KC at a mere two days old.
Tyler had a good day, then another bad day, then finally started steadily improving. After six days at Children's Mercy, a roller coaster of emotions, feeding tubes, IV's, way too many needles and countless prayers, Jay and Lindsay finally got to bring their baby boy home.
A week later they brought him to Mac for the weekend and Carter and Asher got to meet him.
I'm thinking this kid is gonna be tough considering all he'll have to put up with from his crazy cousins. Here's the one good picture we got of all three of them.
And this picture tells the REAL story of our little photoshoot. Even the look on baby Tyler's face is priceless.
Tyler also got to take his first dip in the pool that weekend (just for a couple minutes). After weeks of 100-degree weather, the pool felt like bath water. After his initial shock of wetness, he was pretty chill.

We are thrilled to have another sweet, lovable, rowdy little boy in the family. Congrats Jay and Lindsay...he's a keeper!
