Dear Blake:
We all met you when you were just a little guy and had the pleasure of watching you grow into an incredible young man. You were always interested in our lives and we insisted on being part of yours. We will never forget your hours spent jumping on the trampoline, the Power Ranger kicks you taught us, informing us all about the difference between “TV kisses” and “regular kisses,” your impressive Lego creations and your master gaming skills while we all watched in awe.
We watched you go from the pesky little brother who loved to eavesdrop on your big sister, to a protective brother who looked out for Tiffany—if you did not approve of her friends or boyfriends, their days were numbered.
Every time we saw you, it was our mission to smother you with kisses. You went from an ornery little boy who thought our kisses were gross to an amazing young man who loved our husbands and kids AND tolerated our affection with a grin instead of a sour face.
You were a caring young man who danced with each of us at our weddings and held each of our babies. You enjoyed celebrating life with friends and family. We often laughed at your brutal honesty and your signature “look” that told us we were embarrassing you.
You’ve touched so many lives in 22 years…not only in the McPherson community, but across the state and beyond. You lived life to the fullest. Your parents’ unwavering commitment paved the way to making your dreams a reality. In fact, your 22 years were filled with more experiences than others have in 100 years.
You were a wonderful friend to so many and you’re leaving behind a legacy. Blakers, we are so proud to have known you. We will take our memories and hold them close to our hearts.
With love,
Jenny, Mindy & Noelle
