The week after we went to Walter's, Carter's kindergarten class took their first field trip to Sunny Side Pumpkin Patch. It was another cold, wet day, but the kids couldn't have cared less.
The morning started with a little lesson about the life cycle of a pumpkin, and all the different types of pumpkins--very interesting!
Next, the kids got to pick two small pumpkins or gourds from the patch. Carter chose gourds.

After all of the playground fun, we moved inside for snack time. We enjoyed pumpkin seeds that the kids made the day before and pumpkin muffins--yum! Jace, Carter, Reese & Garrett getting ready for snacks!
