Hubert Family Weekend: Part Three

We visited a couple of fun eateries in KC as well, and of course we had to document them!

The first was Peachwave--a self-serve frozen yogurt shop. I had been to one of these in Denver last summer, but this was a first for the rest of our family. If you've never been to a place like this--RUN, don't walk--you will not be disappointed. For the local readers, Salina has a new one called Yogurtini and it's fantastic!

Carter was so excited! There were about 16 different flavors of frozen yogurt on the wall and you could pick any flavor/combination that you wanted! My ice cream loving family was in heaven!

And if that wasn't enough, then you move on to a huge buffet of toppings--crushed candy, syrups, fresh fruit, sprinkles, anything you could dream of!
Then they weigh your cup and you pay by the ounce. Carter's finished product--delish!!

We love FRO-YO! We also made a return trip to T-Rex at the Legends that weekend. You may recall our previous trip documented here, so our expectations were not too high. We prepped the boys about the very large dinosaurs, but reminded them that they were just pretend and they have batteries just like our toys at home. Carter wavered a bit at first, but when we headed over to the Build-a-Dino, he settled right down.

The boys each picked a dinosaur to "create," then picked out hearts for them and warmed them up in their hands and got them all ready to stuff.

After they were stuffed, they had to give them a quick air bath and fluff up their fur.

Then came the naming process...Carter decided on Dino Dan, while Asher settled on the super original Rawrrrr. But later he decided he liked Carter's name better, so now we have Dino Dan and Dino Dip.

The rest of our visit to T-Rex was uneventful...Carter even got close to some of the dinosaurs!
