Scrambled eggs and conditioner.

Recently, I documented some of Asher's recent antics here. Last week, he was in rare form. Monday evening I realized that we were out of milk and I needed to pick some up for breakfast the next day. Chris was out of town for a football game, and rather than hauling the kids all the way to the back of Walmart, I just popped in to Braum's for a minute. As I was getting ready to pay for our milk, Asher was trying to wiggle out of my arms. I set him down for a second while I got my wallet out and swiped my card. In the 20 or so seconds it took me to pay, Asher had scurried back to the dairy section. I walked back to retrieve him and found that he had gone to the egg cases, opened a carton, then proceeded to throw two eggs on the floor of Braums. And YES, of course they broke. My guess is that he thought they were balls...they didn't bounce. I froze for a minute as I watched him playing in the yolk, with lots of crazy thoughts racing through my mind. I quickly scooped him up, told Carter to stay out of the yolk, and went to find an employee.

I found the manager and asked for a rag, since my toddler decided to scramble some eggs on their carpet. She calmly told me that she'd take care of it, but went on to inform me "In all my five years of working here, I've never had this happen." Gee, big surprise that our child would be the first to do something like this. He's one of a kind.

If that wasn't enough mischief for the week, Thursday morning about 7:40am (our time to be heading out the door to daycare), I walked into our closet to get my shoes. There I found Captain D squirting BLUE conditioner all over the carpet, himself and the door jam. Did I mention it was BLUE?!? Again, I froze for a moment with mean mommy thoughts running wild, but there was no time for that. I scooped him up, quickly wiped off the globs of goo all over his shirt and attempted to scrub the carpet--basically just enough to get the color out. The incident did not result in any stains, although the carpet in our closet is now very soft. Ahhh...just another day in the life...
