4th of July - 2010

We spent the Fourth of July weekend in Riley with my sister and her husband. Their baby is due at the end of this month, so most of the weekend was spent finishing up the nursery and helping with a few other projects around their house. While the big boys worked, the little boys found some hats to try on.Asher loves to "beep" everyone's noses.Saturday night we got ready to attend the fireworks show at Randolph. Our little firecracker...Shooting a few roman candles off while waiting for the show to start.Carter wasn't interested in getting too close, but Ash wanted in on the action. No surprise. The show was awesome...quite a production for such a po-dunk town.Sunday called for more projects and more fireworks. We attempted to get a picture of the boys together--they had no time for me or my camera.
I think this went something like, "Brother! Look at mom and smile so we can be done with this already!!"
Crappaw and the boys. We tried to get one with Grammy too, but there was screaming and wiggling involved--fail. Aunt Lou (9 months preggo) kicking back with Asher. Fun firetruck explosives.Carter and Addy (Unc's niece) stomping on some poppers. After the fireworks at home, we headed off to another big display in Wamego. The kids enjoyed some sparklers before the show started.Judging from all the booms we heard, I'm sure that it would have been a fantastic show. Unfortunately, the air was so still that we couldn't see very many of the fireworks due to all the hanging smoke. We'll have to try it again another year.

Thanks for hosting us for the weekend Lindsay and Jay!
