Vacation: Part Three--Six Flags

Sunday the four of us went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Chris and I both love roller coasters and Carter was very excited as well after looking at the Six Flags website. We got there just as the park was opening and we headed to the back of the park to ride the biggest, most popular roller coaster first so we didn't have to endure the long lines later in the day. I went first while Chris waited with the kids...I walked right on the coaster (no lines!) and Chris jumped on right after me...great ride!Next we headed to the big feature for kids...Wiggles World! This is a brand new area of the park with at least eight different rides made just for little kids. Carter was in heaven!First up were the Big Red Planes! Carter got to push a button which raised and lowered the plane...he was loving it!Then he saddled up for the "horse" ride. This one lifted the kids up and bounced them lightly back down. All three boys got to ride the Big Red Cars. Asher was thrilled to be a driver! The Wiggles' characters were getting ready for their big stage show, so we stopped to get a picture with some of them.
The boys enjoyed lots of cool refreshments throughout the day...it was HOT!!After the live show, Chris & I each took a turn riding the log ride with Carter. I rode last with him and he was so funny acting as my little tour guide telling me what was going to happen next. But as we rode up the big hill getting ready to make the big plunge down into the water, he made sure to remind me, "You have to hold on to me tight, mom." Throughout the day we saw several Looney Tunes Characters...Sylvester and Tweety stopped to join us for a picture. Carter thought they were pretty cool...he even squeezed Tweety's beak!Carter & I stood in line for quite awhile waiting to drive the little convertible cars. He REALLY wanted a pink car (that's his favorite color, ya know), and lucky us got it! He was too short to be the driver, but he helped me steer.Carter probably rode 20 different rides that day and Chris and I squeezed in 4-5 roller coasters each in between.
This is me riding the Sling Shot...I'm waving in the second seat from the back.We also met Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo.
Wiggles World also had a fun little spray park right in the middle where kids could run, splash and jump in the fountains. Our boys played here twice, and both times Asher left completely soaked. It kept him very happy though, and he even napped in his stroller for a couple hours after all the splashing fun!
We were extremely impressed with Six Flags. It was the cleanest amusement park we've ever seen, the staff was all very friendly and the variety of rides for adults and 3-year-olds alike was awesome. We'd highly recommend it and hope to visit again someday!
