We stopped to visit the animals first. Carter was interested, but kept his distance. If the animals approached the fence, Carter backed up quickly.
Next, we moved on to something new for Sunnyside this year. They built up a big dirt hill and layed some really slick plastic down all four sides of the hill making some really fast slides! Carter was all about the slides. I helped him up the big hill once and after that, he was scurrying up it all by himself.
Mom, dad and Asher all took trips down the slide as well...so much fun!
After dragging Carter away from the slides, we moved on to the corn maze. They have a mini maze for little people, so we started there. Carter was our leader and blazed his way through the whipping stalks. More than once we had to holler at Mr. Independent to wait up for pokey mom and dad. 
Somehow we crossed over into the big maze and Carter led us really deep into it...Read: We were LOST!! Daddy took over being the leader and we finally found our way back out. 
Next we headed out for a hayrack ride around the patch. Asher got really vocal on the ride, so mommy had to ask the nice horseys to stop so we could exit the ride and get Mr. Grouchy a bottle. Lovely. 
Once the baby's belly was full, we took a wagon out to the patch to hunt for a pumpkin. We've come to realize that Carter equates Asher's ears to handles. Every time he "holds" his baby brother, he holds him by the ears. Ash will thank him for that later. 
On our way out, we passed some HUGE pumpkins and stopped for a photo op.
As my luck would run, my camera stopped working while we were out in the patch. So I missed out on pics of Carter picking and cutting his prized pumpkin off the vine. Momma was not a happy camper about the camera, but Carter did find a winner and the camera somehow fixed itself when we got out of the patch. Here it is!
Pumpkin in tow, we stopped off at a few more activities before heading home.

And a corn crib!! What a genious idea! They filled this sandbox with corn kernels and nailed a bunch of funnels and gadgets to the wall and the kids had a hay-day scooping and dumping corn. 
Ash even got in on the fun.
