We celebrated Carter's 3rd birthday with lots of wonderful friends and family last Saturday. We're thankful that it wasn't raining, but it was a little chilly for an outdoor carnival. The kids didn't seem to mind and the birthday boy was on cloud nine the whole day. We'd been working on the carnival games for several weeks, so we were relieved to have it all come together.
Reanna and Carter practiced their bowling skills...Carter preferred to kick the ball.

Reed scoped out the ring toss.

The beanbag toss kept them busy for awhile.

The duck pond was a huge hit--I think the kids enjoyed throwing the ducks in the water and splashing each other more than anything. Poor Reed even went for a swim!

Mal got her face painted.

And the little ones were fascinated by the plinko game.

Aunt Lou was a huge hit with her newly discovered talent of balloon creations.

Of course, no carnival is complete without a bunch of cheap, junky prizes! Addie tried on her silly glasses.

Mal and Reese showed off their little cars.

By then, Carter was ready for some cake. Once again, Grandma outdid herself with an awesome carnival cake--complete with an alligator roller coaster, ferris wheel and carousel. Thanks Grandma...it was YUMMY!

Blowing out the candles!

Yummy alligator cake = green tongue!

Then it was time to open presents! He was truly spoiled and we're getting 1-2 new gifts out each day to spread out the fun.

And after most of the kids left, Carter had to try out his big gifts. Thanks for the car, Grandma and Papa!

He loves his new scooter, now he can cruise with Mal. Thanks Grammy and Crappaw!

And one last cute picture of Asher and Brynn--just because they're so darn cute. They had their own little party inside.
A HUGE THANK YOU to Grammy, Crappaw, Aunt Lou and Unc for all of their help in the weeks leading up to and the day of the party. They sewed bean bags, cut out games, painted, drilled, stapled, babysat, learned to make balloon animals, the list goes on and on. We couldn't have done it without you all, thanks a million! We love you!
