1. You can all pick your jaws up off the floor over the fact that I'm almost ready to start blogging 2013 events. We're only a mere 51 days into the new year...what's the rush??
2. Mr. Carter lost tooth #2 (bottom left) back in Nov. The tooth fairy has backed off to a much more affordable rate of $1/tooth now that we got that super special *first* tooth out of the way. There are lots more wigglers in his mouth currently, so the tooth fairy is saving her money.
2. Our friends Rob & Noelle hosted a dinner party for our families shortly after Christmas. The best part of the evening? We hired babysitters to wrangle the 9 kids in the basement so the adults could actually hear each other speak. So awesome.

Look how big these boys have gotten!?! Reed, Carter & Ethan.
The mommies (and Hayden).
3. Hayden got to meet her Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Hubert for the first time shortly after Christmas. They live Arkansas, but we met up with them in Kansas City for a brief visit...we love spending time with them!
4.
6. One more about Hayden...she can roll over! She doesn't do it often, but she can do it!
on Jan. 8. We look forward to many playdates with our girls.
8. Prior to today, we have had one good snow this winter, and the boys got to go out and play a couple of different times.
Carter & dad spent one afternoon building a snow minion. Carter got the movie "Despicable Me" for Christmas and has been obsessed ever since, thus the inspiration for his snow creature.
9. They would have had another helper in the snow, but somebody (who shall remain pants-less) had a hard time listening that day, and found himself stuck inside for a lengthy time out. It is tough to be three. And even more tough being a parent to a 3-year-old.
10. Speaking of Asher, these two little gems just couldn't go unblogged.
***One morning, Asher & I were snuggling in our bed and Hayden started fussing. I grabbed her out of her bed and started getting ready to nurse her.
Asher: "Mom, can I feed Haydie?"
Me: "No, mommy has to feed her."
Asher: "Oh yeah, 'cause my breasts aren't pokey like yours are...my boobs are different."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***Chris' mom was babysitting for us one day, and she started giving Hayden a bottle.
Asher: "Grandma, do you have breasts?"
Grandma (a little startled): "Yes..."
Asher: "Then why don't ya just feed her with those?"
