A couple of weeks before Christmas, we took a weekend trip to Kansas City to enjoy some time with our extended family.
We (and thousands of other people) spent a day at Crown Center, soaking up the sights and sounds of the holidays, and enjoying our time together. My uncle Rod used to work for Hallmark, and when my sister and I were little, he used to take us to a place called Kaleidoscope in Crown Center. Kids get to do all things creative, making use of left over supplies from Hallmark...I have such fond memories of that place. So when we had the chance to introduce our kids to Kaleidoscope, I knew they would love it!First stop...the black light room.
Wax art!
Asher & Dee Dee working together to make a puzzle.
Carter making a very special Christmas card for his sister...so sweet!
The boys and the crazy hats they created.
Trying to pin them down for a picture with Uncle Rod.
Next stop...Fritz's for lunch!
Asher & Naia.
A good portion of the Hubert family in front of the beautiful tree in the Westin lobby.
It's been way too long since we've had a picture of just the four of us. :)
My favorite parents. :)
Then we walked over to Union Station...WOW. The lights and decorations were breathtaking.
Carter, Naia, Asher & Tyler.
Tyler really liked the trains ;).
They had a little model train set up for kids to ride on...our kids were delighted!
It was a great weekend setting the mood for the upcoming holidays!
