Six weeks after I had Hayden, I was more than ready to get my exercise on. As luck would have it, a couple of great friends/neighbors had decided to start a running program at that very same time. For about 6 weeks straight, 4-5 nights a week, we had a standing date at 8:45pm. Kids tucked in bed, running shoes laced up, and we were ready. This proved to be a little tricky for me, as Hayden seemed to go through about a 6 week phase (coincidence??) where her "witching hour" (read: super fussy time) just happened to occur the minute I walked out the door. But daddy hung in there, and us girls hit the pavement night after night. It helped a bunch that we had a goal...running the Frosty 5K the weekend before Thanksgiving!
We got a pretty nice November morning for a race, and felt super snazzy in our new socks ;).
We may not be fast, but we were FESTIVE!
My favorite sister came to town for the race as well!

They had a little machine shooting out real snow for us to run through!
Jami, Lindsay, Tiffani & me. We did it!
But we weren't the only ones there with a race to run. This crew of "Running Reindears" was signed up for the Santa Sprint, and they.were.pumped. Huge thanks to Tiff and her mom, Sherri, for staying up WAY too late the night before our race to make these adorable shirts for the kids.
L-R: Everlee, Hunter, Asher, Cru, Reese, Carter & Reanna.
Blitzen & Comet had their game faces on.
These two started their pre-race routine with a little chest bump action.
And then the stretching began...completely unprompted. Can you handle the cuteness? I love them all.

I love this...he almost looks like a reindeer leaping! This captures his spirit perfectly.
And then it was time to line up. The announcer asked if they were ready...can't you just hear their screams of excitment??
Ready, set, GO!
I love this...he almost looks like a reindeer leaping! This captures his spirit perfectly.
As Jami so adequately stated..."Mamarazzi never too far behind..."
Ribbons and hydration rounded out this Santa Sprint perfectly.
We had such a fantastic day with fun friends...hoping to continue this tradition!
