Our newest blessing:
{Hayden Sage Allen}
August 17, 2012
8:00am
8 lbs. 1 oz.
19 1/2 inches
The night before her arrival, we took a very rushed, very last-minute-before-bedtime-daddy-rushing-out-the-door-to-a-meeting picture of us as a family of four. Not great, not even good, but it was us.

Us and our bellies. :)
Working the little pouty lip already.
Getting ready to leave the recovery room.
Being wheeled into our hospital room to see the boys for the first time.
We love our sister!
Note all the extra padding used while Captain D holds her ;).
He has waited so long for this...such a proud big brother!
Daddy's pretty fond of her as well. :)
The second most important thing on the boys' mind was devouring mom's jello! Good thing they accidentally brought two trays of liquids for me, the boys got their very own bowl of jello. It's hard work being big brothers.
Our first family picture.

Bright and early the next morning, getting prepped for surgery. We were late getting to the hospital, plus we had to wait quite awhile in admissions, so we got the super fast surgery prep. Less time to worry, so it worked well for us. :)
If you're squeamish, skip past the next two pics. This first one is Hayden's grand entrance into this world. I don't get to see any of this as it's happening, as there is a curtain draped in front of my face, but the photos are pretty fascinating to me as a mommy. Welcome, baby girl!
Dr. Prendergast presenting her to us.
Mommy waiting for the nurses to get her cleaned up so I can see her up close and personal. (Interesting little side note: Chris was across the room watching/taking pictures of the baby getting cleaned up. After they were done, they handed her to him to hold. He cuddled her for a little bit and just about walked out of the room with her to go get measured, etc. without letting me see her! He was so enamored, he forgot that one little detail. The nurses kindly reminded him that maybe mom would like to hold her for a minute before they left.) ;)
We all wrote down weight/length guesses the night before the birth. Mommy guessed her weight exactly, and daddy guessed her length exactly! She was our biggest baby!Working the little pouty lip already.

She's absolutely beautiful, Mindy! And the picture of her half in/half out is amazing without words to describe! Congrats guys ;)
