Chris & I took an "almost 10-year anniversary" trip to St. Lucia at the end of July. We had stayed at a Sandals resort in Jamaica for our honeymoon and were totally impressed with the chain, so we chose to stay with them again for this trip. This little display was waiting for us on our bed when we walked into our room, along with a plate full of truffles in the fridge.
Once a week they have a "Sandals Select" dinner which is exclusively for returning Sandals guests. The dinner happened to be the first night we arrived on the island, and we weren't sure if we wanted to rush and get ready for it, but we did, and it was the best choice we could have ever made. There were only about 12 couples there, it was a 5 course meal, each table had members of management sitting and visiting with us, and after the delicious meal, we were gifted with a bottle of St. Lucian Rum and a gift pack. This was our table for the dinner: Chris & I, another couple Phil & Heidi, and the Sandals employees Tammy and Xavier.
The delicious custard dessert we were served--it was so pretty we didn't want to cut into it, but we did!
Most of the trip we spent being complete bums, laying out by the pool or beach, drinks in hand, resting, reading and enjoying paradise.
