Blake Reed Miracle Mile

Also on All School's Day weekend, our whole family participated in the 1st Annual Blake Reed Miracle Mile. Our good buddy Blake passed away last August and his family has developed a scholarship at McPherson College called the Mac 2 Mac scholarship. There were lots of people who showed up bright and early on that very chilly Saturday morning to join the 1 mile walk/run to raise money for the scholarship. The kids were bundled up and ready to roll--Adyson, Reed, Carter & Asher. The Mac College president giving a little speech at the starting line.

The nice part about this event is that anybody can participate--you don't have to be a serious athlete to walk a mile! Even our friend Noelle, who was 8 months pregnant at the time joined in the fun!
