Here are the boys modeling their Superman PJ's that Grandma Ernie gave them. I think they truly believe that the can fly when they put these PJ's on...they get really wound up and start running and jumping like little superheroes.
Asher enjoying some breakfast with Crappaw.
Ash playing cards with Great Grandpa. These are priceless memories...

Bella Vista is a huge golfing community, and there's a fun putt-putt course just down the road from my grandparent's house. We walked down there one afternoon and the boys had a blast putting around.
Ash kept trying to steal everyone's golf balls before they made it to the hole, so he and I took a break and went to play at the park.
Horsing around with daddy back at the house.
The boys and Great Grandma's huge Crayola bunny. My sister and I used to wrestle with this bunny many years ago when we stayed with Grandma and Grandpa.

Saturday afternoon, Asher was playing cards with Great Grandpa and goofing around on the chairs (the child cannot sit still). He was sitting backwards, and fell backwards off the chair onto his head. It was only about a two foot fall, it was on carpet, and he didn't cry or anything. He just climbed back up on the chair and went about his card playing. I just chalked it up to another clumsy spill and didn't think any more of it.
He was a great patient, charming every nurse that laid eyes on him. He was talking fine throughout the whole ordeal, which did give me some relief, and of course he kept us laughing the whole time as well.
The nurse practioner examined him and elected not to do a CAT scan, as she didn't feel it was worth the radiation exposure. She said it was probably just a mild concussion and told us to just watch him closely for the next day or so. His walking returned to normal later that afternoon, and he was back to goofing around on the chairs within hours.
We can always count on our Asher to keep things interesting!
I mentioned earlier that our weekend was *mostly* relaxing and fun. Except for our first trip to the ER. Betcha can't guess which child was the patient???
Never mind, it's a no-brainer. Honestly, I'm surprised we've made it two whole years before this major event occurred.

He got down off the chair and tried to walk to me, but he couldn't walk straight and kept falling down. We tried this several more times, but he looked like a drunken sailor and mommy freaked out. My sister was there and she has some medical training, so she checked his eyes, reflexes, etc. and didn't see anything too alarming, but I had horrible thoughts of brain swelling and internal bleeding flashing through my mind and I just could not stop worrying. We called the ER and they suggested we bring him in to get checked out, so my Grandma, my sister and I loaded up Asher and headed to the hospital.

We cleaned him up and started again, but he ended up puking 12 times in the van that day. We stopped in two different towns to buy towels for cleanup and extra clothes. It was the longest road trip we've ever experienced, and we quit pulling over after the 4th or 5th time-- I'd just twist around and catch it with the towels. Our van reeked for days and the carseat got a very thorough washing. We were concerned the vomiting was related to the concussion, but he was over it all the next morning.
