Choo Choo! Asher's TWO!

Our little man turned two last weekend. It amazes me that two years have passed since we welcomed him into this world! We laid the boys down plenty early on the afternoon of the party to ensure that they got a good nap. HA! They both laid in their beds for two hours just chatting away. We think they were both too excited about the party to sleep! Meanwhile, the adults were busy getting ready for the party. Setting up the food table...Candy trains that were in the goody bags...Grandma made three wonderful cakes for the birthday boy...they were all as yummy as they look! When they boys looked out the front door, they were thrilled to see this coming down our sidewalk! My parents and sister crafted those railroad crossing signs for us in just a few days. Thanks guys! The choo choo was a big hit for everyone...most of the kids rode several times and it was running for at least 45 minutes. It was a very windy day, but that didn't stop our fun! Reanna, Hunter, Lindsay and Tyler.Birthday boy taking a choo choo ride!Melisa, Karlie and Cole.McKenna and Carter.Colt and Emilea.Best buddies!Miss Addie.Cru preferred to check things out from afar.Addie and Adyson sizing each other up.Carter played some b-ball while he was waiting for his turn to ride.Crappaw and Tyler. The grandparents hung out on the porch watching the train rides. Our family.
All the kids of the party...it was crazy! After the train rides, we came inside to escape the wild wind. Ash dug right into his cakes before we had a chance to light the candles.
Blowing out the candle!
Asher was fighting a nasty cold that day, so he was not his normal, spunky self. He was still a trooper though, and I'm pretty sure he was well aware that the day was all about him ;).

Enjoying a little cake...
Juice boxes are yummy too!
Papa and the other birthday boy, Crappaw. Asher was born on my dad's birthday.
Me and my little birthday buddy, Brynn. She was born on my birthday! We try to get a picture taken every year around our birthdays.Tearing into some presents.

Lots of helpers! Big brother was the BIGGEST helper. He's already asking when it's time for his next party.
Once we'd had enough of the wind again, we moved back inside to finish opening presents.
A new scooter from mom and dad...he learned how to ride it right away, although he can't quite keep up with Carter and Mal yet.
Tyler and Aunt Lou enjoying the sunshine.

Such a wonderful day full of friends, family, food and fun. Thanks to all of the great people in Asher's life who helped to make his birthday so special! We appreciate you all!
