School's here already??? Wow, time really does fly when you're having fun! Lately Carter has been a talking machine! He'll repeat pretty much anything we ask him to (and a few things we DON'T ask him to), and he's coming up with new sentences all the time. We're all pretty sure he's grown about 2 inches this summer! We finished up Kindermusik class and he loved it...especially the hand stamp he got at the end of each session. We recently broke out his t-ball set and baseball is his newest fascination. He can really smack the ball!
We took a trip to the Rolling Hill Refuge in Salina with neighbors Melisa and Mallorie. The kids loved the animals and had a blast running through the misters at the zoo. Good thing...it was HOT! Then we made a stop at Salina's spray park and they giggled and screamed through the fountains.
Mommy's 10-year reunion was the first weekend of August, so we got to catch up with a bunch of old friends. Carter also got to reunite with his buddies Reed, Adyson and Ethan. They're all growing so fast...we won't be able to call them babies too much longer! Somehow Carter got a staph infection on his arm last week. We thought it was just a bug bite, but it started changing colors and wouldn't go away, so we finally took him to the dr. Nothing serious, we're just applying a cream to the spot for a week, but our big boy weighs 34 lbs.!
Daddy's back to school tomorrow and football starts next week. Games should be interesting this fall with a very mobile toddler :).
