Welcome warm weather! Carter was born to play outside and we've spent a lot of time in the yard enjoying the beautiful weather! He loves his slipper slide and playset and especially enjoys when his little friends come over to play with him. We attended a Scribble Fair last week and two daycare friends were there also! We had fun painting with squirt bottles, drawing with shaving cream, rolling out playdough and chasing bubbles. Plus there was an awesome playground to climb on! Toddler heaven!
All Schools Day was a big hit! Carter loved the parade, he just really wanted to be in the front row. We better get their earlier next year so he can see all the action! We also visited the petting zoo that day. He loved the animals, but he didn't want to get too close.
Carter also had his first haircut recently. He screamed in the car all the way to Canton for the haircut. Then, once we got there, he was perfect. He sat very big while Jen cut off his curls and shaved his neck. Smarties work wonders for a kid!
Another major milestone--Carter has been binkie-less for a whole week! It's gone for good! He'd only been using it for naps and bedtime, but we decided to start weaning him from it last weekend. Friday was a disaster and we caved and gave it back, but beginning Saturday, he's done great! It is a little harder getting him to bed at night, but we're very proud of him for giving up his most prized 1-year old possession.
Aunt Lou bought him a basketball goal a few weeks ago and this is his newest obsession. Every time we drive by a house with a goal outside, he points and yells "bath-ket-ball!" If he's focused, he's got a pretty good shot, but other times he smacks himself in the head. Goof ball! Hope everyone is enjoying the weather!
