State wrestling went well...daddy's team got 3rd place. The whole Coliseum atmosphere was a little over-stimulating for Carter--he refused to take a nap because there was WAY too much action going on. He did get some quality spoiling from all of Chris' family, so that was fun.
Daddy finally got to see Carter roll over last week! He's still very picky about when he wants to perform his little trick, but we've learned that Carter will turn his whole body to follow daddy's snapping, so that helps him roll sometimes.
We started feeding Carter rice cereal last week. Needless to say, he didn't love it. He wrinkled his little nose up and threw a fit, spitting it all back out. We tried it again Monday evening...same song, second verse, but we got some very entertaining pictures out of the ordeal! I hear you've got to try each new food atleast 10 times before babies accept it, so we tried again last night, and he did much better (it could have helped that mom mixed some pear juice in with the cereal???). He opened his mouth for the spoon and actually swallowed the cereal. He ate several spoons full, and decided he'd had enough. When I pulled him out of his seat, he puked it all over me. Bath time for Carter & mommy...
Aunt Lindsay showed Carter his toes early last week and WOW, they are the coolest things ever! They must taste GREAT, because every time we lay him on his back, his little butt goes in the air and he's got his feet in his mouth. I keep telling Chris to try chewing on his own toes and let me know how they taste...we'll just take Carter's word for it.
